City Mom #2
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world.
Every color dark or light
They are precious in his sight.
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
This is the song that went through my mind this evening at our neighborhood playground.
Thank goodness we no longer sing red, yellow, black, white.
Have you ever met anyone that was literally red? yellow? black? white? Me either.
Caucasian, Hispanic, African, Mexican, Brazilian, Romanian, Bosnian, Vietnamese, Korean, Pakistani, Indian, Filipino. These are the nationalities of just some of the people playing with Ella at the park this evening. She notices no difference in any of them. They're all just kids. Just like her.
This is another reason why I love Chicago and love being a city Mom.
